Sony Launches Video-Sharing Site in Japan

Sony announced the launch of a video-sharing site in Japan.  Sony will closely monitor for copyrighted material.  Japanese TV networks forced YouTube to remove 30,000 video clips last year due to copyright infringement.  The site offers a clean environment for advertisers, relative to the largely unmonitored YouTube site.

Rural Broadband Users Closing Gap [USA Today]

Comedy Central Unveils Motherload Net

Comedy Central unveiled its new broadband network Motherload, with 5 video channels featuring clips from Comedy Central’s programming as well as original content produced for the broadband network.
