Automaker GM recently found a unique way to incorporate interactivity into an online video campaign by letting users compete for a chance to win a Pontiac Solstice by hitting on VH1 VJ Rachel Perry ‘virtually’ with their best pickup lines. United Virtualities recently launched a streaming video format called Shoshmosis, featuring a clickable Flash layer.

Avant Interactive and Launch Ideas launched new “clickable video” technology in a campaign for Honda allowing users to click on apects of video footage of the 2005 Honda Accord Hybrid to see close-ups and detailed information on each feature in an adjacent ‘meta’ pane. Coca-Cola is running clickable video ads on NASCAR.com.
